North East Lincolnshire Council forced to make savings

North East Lincolnshire Council says it will have to make further savings after its spending power was cut by more than 5 per cent next year.

Council bosses say the financial settlement given to the authority by the government was worse than previously feared and means it will have to find an extra £8 million in savings by the end of 2015. The authority says it will write to the government claiming unfair treatment.
