North East Lincolnshire Council needs to save extra £8m

North East Lincolnshire Council says it will have to make further savings after its spending power was cut by more than 5% next year.

Council bosses say the financial settlement given to the authority by the government was worse than previously feared and means it will have to find an extra £8 million in savings by the end of 2015.

The council leader, Chris Shaw, says he will write to the government claiming unfair treatment.
