Investigation launched after Turcano jet crashes at RAF Linton-on-Ouse

An investigation has been launched and the runway at RAF Linton-on Ouse closed after a Tucano jet crash landed at the base.

The plane ended up on the grass next to the runway after the landing gear failed. The two people on board were uninjured. The North Yorkshire base is home to 72 Squadron, which operates a fleet of Tucano TMk1 aircraft and is the RAF's oldest flying training school.
