Police in Doncaster are urging all delivery drivers to ensure that they secure their vehicles when leaving them unattended.
Three delivery vans have been reported stolen this week whilst left unsupervised, as drivers are making their deliveries around the town.
– Detective Chief Inspector Chris Singleton
It may be tempting to leave a company car or van running whilst making a quick delivery but this makes the car vulnerable to being stolen. If the vehicle is stolen, you may face disciplinary action from your employer and lose the right to make an insurance claim as leaving the keys in the ignition could invalidate the insurance.
