Bradford City boss "turns down" chance to move to Blackpool

Bradford City boss Phil Parkinson has reportedly turned down the chance to speak with Blackpool over the managerial vacancy at Bloomfield Road.

The Seasiders are currently looking for a new manager following Michael Appleton's departure to Blackburn Rovers on Friday.

Blackpool made an approach to hold talks with Parkinson on Thursday, but the 45-year-old has decided to stay at Valley Parade, according to reports.

Bradford have the chance to reach the Capital One Cup final a week on Tuesday when they travel to Aston Villa with a 3-1 first-leg lead in their semi-final tie.
