David Flitcroft: I want Barnsley job

Barnsley FC caretaker manager David Flitcroft tells our sports reporter Chris Dawkes that he wants the job on a "permanent basis" and urges the club's board to make a quick decision to allow the new boss time to recruit new players.

Earlier this week, both Sean O'Driscoll, recently sacked by Nottingham Forest and Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager Terry Butcher rejected the opportunity to replace Keith Hill at Oakwell.

Barnsley are currently bottom of the Championship, 4 points adrift of safety, and take on Leeds United tomorrow in a much anticipated Yorkshire derby.

Leeds haven't won at Oakwell since November 1997, when they came back from 2 goals down to win 3-2 thanks to a late Derek Lilley goal. Both sides were then Premier League teams.
