A family of six has escaped without any major injuries after the weight of snow apparently caused the gable end of their house to collapse in Barnsley.
The fire brigade was called out at about 4am today to the property on Wood Street in the town. Officers from Barnsley and Cudworth fire stations attended the incident.
It's thought a couple and their four young children escaped from the semi-detached house unhurt. They have now been moved to emergency accommodation.
Builders have today been working to make the property safe.
