Nineteen year old injured in crash

A car crash in Rotherham has left a nineteen year old woman with a fractured pelvis and suspected fracture to the lower back. The woman, from Swinton, Rotherham was taken to Rotherham District General Hospital following the accident at 11.24pm on Thursday.

A blue Peugeot 106 was being driven by a seventeen year old, also from Swinton. He is believed to have lost control at the Scrooby Lane junction of the A6123 Mangham Road, Parkgate. He mounted the kerb, travelled acros the pavement, over a grass verge and came to a stop in a 'small water course'.

A second nineteen year old passenger was also injured. Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about it is being urged to contact South Yorkshire Police.
