The news of a €1b windfarm off the East Yorks coast has been welcomed by business leaders. DONG Energy want to locate thirty-five wind turbines in the North Sea, five miles east of Hull.
Siemens will build the turbines, providing a further boost for their plans to build a £200m facility on Alexandra Dock in Hull, creating a green port. Both projects have the potential for hunderds of jobs.
