Dozens of children in Morrocco will now be able to have urgent dental care thanks to the generosity of a group of Yorkshire dentists. Around 100 dentists and their practice staff attended a ball in Leeds to raise money to send a dental nurse to Morroco to help children suffering dental problems.
The people of El Jabeh in North East Morrocco have no access to dental health care and only one doctor for 50,000 people .
Dental Mavericks, is a charity, set up to help children in need of dentistry around the world. This is the third year the charity has sent a team of dentists to Morocco. Chris Benfield from Leeds, who is a founding member, said the experience had been life changing.
