Slaughterhouse suspended after Horse meat raid
The Director of the Food Standards Agency says a Todmorden slaughterhouse has had production suspended following a raid in connection with tHorse meat scandal.
– Andrew Rhodes, FSA director of operationsI ordered an audit of all horse producing abattoirs in the UK after this issue first arose last month and I was shocked to uncover what appears to be a blatant misleading of consumers. I have suspended both plants immediately while our investigations continue.
Man arrested in Yorkshire as part of horse meat inquiry
Three men were arrested tonight by officers investigating the horse meat scandal. One of the men was arrested at a plant in West Yorkshire.
