Hockney painting goes under the hammer

One of Bradford-born David Hockney's early paintings goes under the hammer today.

The 1963 painting Great Pyramid at Giza with Broken Head from Thebes, commemorating Hockney's first visit to Egypt at the age of 26,

It is going up for auction for the first time, at Christies in London and is expected to fetch £2.5m to £3m.
