Another firm in our region has been drawn into the horse meat scandal. Paragon Quality Foods, in Doncaster is now testing all its products after a burger it sold to hotel and pub giant Whitbread was find to contain horse DNA.

Asda beef bolognese sauce tests positive for horse DNA Asda has withdrawn four products from its shelves after its product 500g Beef Bolognese Sauce tested positive for horse DNA.

Three other products from the same supplier have been removed as a precaution:

600g Beef Broth Soup

500g Meat Feast Pasta Sauce

400g Chilli Con Carne Soup
