Chip shop girls get a bird's eye view of Leeds Credit: ITV Yorkshire

Workers at a Leeds fish and chip shop got a bird's eye view of the city centre when they had a sneak ride on the brand-new Leeds Wheel.

The Observation Wheel Leeds, the first of its kind to ever visit Leeds, will open to the public on Saturday 16th February .**

Towering taller than Nelsons Column at the dizzy height of nearly 60 metres, The "OWL" which is situated on the Markets Car park between George Street and Union Street ,will be open daily to the public.**

Passengers will be able to enjoy stunning views over the roof tops and around the city of Leeds, anticipated to extend up to 10 miles, from the 40 fully enclosed, illuminated gondolas, which each carry up to six passengers .
