Bridlington man charged over OAP murder

A man from East Yorkshire has been charged in connection with the death of a pensioner in a suspected botched burglary.

Llywelyn Thomas, 76, was discovered at his home in Cambridgeshire, on December 18, 2011. He was last seen alive the previous evening.

Today John Smith, 66, of Wold Gate, Bridlington, will appear before Cambridge Magistrates' Court charged with assisting an offender after being arrested yesterday.

Frankie Parker, 25, of Cambridgeshire, and Gary Smith, 20, of no fixed address, have already been charged with murder.
