Campaigners are fighting to save six care homes which are threatened with closure by Leeds City Council which is trying to save £59.4 million due to Government cuts.

Families and residents at a Leeds care home have staged a protest against council proposals to shut it down. Primrose Hill care home in Boston Spa is one of six facing an uncertain future as Leeds City Council tries to save fifty five million pounds.

Campaigners , including resident Celia Jones, are urging councillors to consider the effect a move would have on them.
