Spate of tool thefts in Bradford

Hundreds of of pounds worth of tools have been stolen from vans in Bradford.

Thieves smashed windows on vehicles in four separate incidents. Two chainsaws, a glue gun and a bag of hand tools were taken.

Police are now urging van drivers to remove all equipment from their vans to avoid being targeted.

Taking a few minutes each night to remove tools from your vehicle will prevent you from the expense of having to replace them.

If you do have to leave anything in your car or van, please make sure it is not on display and mark it with your house number and post code. This way, if it is stolen and we recover it, we can return it to you.

We take vehicle crime very seriously, and we will be focusing our patrols in these areas, applying the pressure on the individuals committing these offences.
