A school for autistic children in Grimsby closes today. Parents who campaigned to keep Asdrel open are looking into setting up another support service.** **
A spokesman for North East Lincolnshire Council said:
"The Educational Psychology Asdrel Team has previously offered advice and support on meeting the educational needs of a small group of children and young people with autism in mainstream schools and academies.This service will cease to be provided by the Educational Psychology Team with effect from 29 March 2013.

The educational needs of children and young people with autism in mainstream schools and academies are now being met through access to a range of services and provision; these include the SEN Support Service based at the Western Technology Site, which provides advice, support and guidance.
