Huddersfield football fans march against policing restrictions

Huddersfield Town football fans have held a protest march against restrictions by the police for the Huddersfield Town game against Hull City.

Tickets to the game for Hull fans have been limited by the police and fans made to travel on official coaches to the match.

No Hull City fan will be able to travel to the stadium independently. Around 100 fans marched through Huddersfield town centre ending at the library.

"This afternoon's march has ended peacefully following a successful policing operation. We worked closely with the organiser beforehand to help him facilitate the event safely and I wish to thank those who took part for their conduct"

– Chief Supt Tim Kingsman, West Yorkshire Police
