Police thank football fans

West Yorkshire Police have thanked football fans for ensuring the match between Huddersfield and Hull City passed off peacefully with no arrests.

I would like to thank fans from both Huddersfield and Hull for the way in which they conducted themselves throughout.

Their behaviour played a key role in the smooth running of the event and contributed to a successful policing operation.

Our aim was always to minimise any potential risks and ensure everyone’s enjoyment of the game.

Working closely with each club in preparation, and with safety always at the forefront, we were able to achieved this."
