The region's only children's heart surgery unit could be just days away from reopening after more than a week of uncertaintly over it's future.
An independent team of experts will be on the wards at the unit at Leeds General Infirmary over the weekend, and if they're happy with what they find - and new data on death rates supplied by the health trust is verified - then surgery can begin early next week.
Some are saying it's a U turn by NHS bosses - others that the decision to reopen is too hasty. Jon Hill reports.
