North East Lincolnshire tourist industry calls for extra help following landslide

The landslide near Hatfield

There's pressure for rail companies to give extra support to the tourist indusrty in North East Lincolnshire, after a landslide two months ago closed a major railway line.

The line connecting Cleethorpes to Doncaster was damaged near Hatfield Colliery in February. Local Councils have held talks with Network Rail and First TransPennine Express over its scheduled re-opening in July.

A number of ideas were put forward including possible half price fares and extra trains to help over the summer period.
