Ryan Mania returns to the saddle at Ayr today as he rides for the first time since a heavy fall at Hexham the day after the Grand National resulted in him being airlifted to hospital.

Mania who rides for Sue and Harvey Smith's stables near Bingley in West Yorkshire races Yorkshire-trained Aurora's Encore in the Scottish Grand National tomorrow. Victory would make Auroras Encore the first horse since Red Rum in 1974 to win both Grand Nationals.
