Young footballers appeal for sponsor

A team of young footballers is hoping it can raise the cost of transport to tomorrow's match. Just two more wins would see Thorne Tigers Disabilty FC win its league. But the players are struggling to pay for a minibus to take them from Doncaster over to Dewsbury in West Yorkshire.

The lads play in the Ability Counts Football League, with provides disabled footballers with the opportunity to play regular competitve football. Manager and founder Jackie Kirk said the team had managed to make it to - and win - its fixtures so.

But it's not easy as the league covers a large area and we are struggling to find the money to pay for transport to tomorrow's game. It's a shame because if the lads win the next two fixtures, they will win the league.
