Man and dog attacked in Scarborough

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man and his dog were attacked in a Scarborough street. The 50-year-old man from West Yorkshire was walking his dog along North Bay Promenade when he was approached by another man with two Wirehaired terriers.

The man was pushed to the ground following an argument and his dog was attacked by the terriers. The dog suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the altercation to contact them with information.

The offender is described white, aged in his mid-40s, around 6ft tall, with a large build and short brown hair. He was wearing a brown jacket.
