Kirklees axe three specialist teachers

Kirklees Council has announced it is to lose three of its specialist teachers who provide support for deaf children in schools.

Despite a long campaign by local families the cuts will come into force in September.

Parents believe the cuts will have a devastating effect on their children's future as they will then be even more at risk of not developing communication skills and failing at school.

They have the support of the National Deaf Children's Charity.
