Soldier killed in Woolwich has links to West Yorkshire

The soldier killed in Woolwich yesterday has links with West Yorkshire.

He's just been named as Drummer Lee Rigby, he's from Manchester and was serving with the 2nd Battalion Royal Regiment Fusiliers.

It's thought that he was either separated or divorced from his wife Rebecca Metcalfe who's from Halifax. They have a son Jack who's two-and-a-half-years-old.

We believe that they were married in Southowram six years ago when Lee was based at Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire. We've been told that he was based in Cyrpus and had completed one tour in Afghanistan.
