An elderly man has been killed after being struck by a police van in Pudsey Park. Police had been called to the park to reports of a disturbance. Officers left the van to deal with the incident and after they got out, it rolled forward and collided with an elderly man who was walking in the park.
Paramedics were called to the scene but the man died of his injuries. West Yorkshire Police say the matter has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
