Ben Jones-Bishop is looking forward to making up for lost time with Super League champions Leeds after helping his injury-hit side to a 38-28 win over Widnes.

The 24-year-old winger made a dream return from an eight-month lay-off last night with one of the Rhinos' seven tries as they won one of their two games in hand to climb up to fourth place in the table.

"It was great to be back out there," Jones-Bishop said. "There was a lot of build-up to my comeback.

"It was nice to get the game out of the way and I look forward to cracking on in the weeks ahead.

"I felt like I slotted back in. I felt a bit of cramp but it was a good start and I look forward to building on it."

Jones-Bishop, who was in Leeds' Grand Final-winning team last October, was shocked to be told he had a blood clot in his lungs and, after undergoing treatment, was forced into a lengthy period of rehabilitation, most of it on his own.
