Flood prevention petition handed in to No.10

Campaigners demanding improvements are made to flood defences in the Upper Calder Valley handed in a petition to 10 Downing Street today.

Barry Greenwood from the Upper Calder Valley Flood Prevention Action Group delivered a 3,000-signature petition to the prime minister calling on the government to do more to prevent future flooding. The warning comes on the first anniversary of flash floods that badly affected towns in the area.
