Ex-police officer awarded £1 after witch hunt claims

An ex police officer who claimed he was the victim of a witch hunt by his former force has been awarded just one pound by a court.

Kashif Ahmed from Bradford took West Yorkshire Police to court after he was cleared of fraud allegations. But a judge has now decided only two of the 30 complaints he brought against the police should be upheld. Mr Ahmed says he's to appeal but faces a legal bill of tens of thousands of pounds.
