Swan "shot dead" in Doncaster

Police are appealing for witnesses after reports were received of a swan being shot dead in Doncaster.

The incident is reported to have happened whilst a pair of swans were nesting on a pond behind Carcroft Enterprise Park.

The swan is believed to have been shot with an air rifle.

The offenders are described as a white teenage boy, who spoke with a local accent, and two white boys aged around ten. It is believed the teenager fired the weapon and told an eye-witness he would shoot him next.
