Bloom says he is "old UKIP"

Godfrey Bloom talks about quitting as an UKIP MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber after his outbursts on the day of his party's annual conference.

UKIP leader Nigel Farage confirmed the "last straw" was threats made to Calendar's political correspondent Paul Brand. David Hirst reports.


Bloom sits as independent

The controversial Ukip MEP for Yorkshire and the Humber Godfrey Bloom will sit as an independent but has not quit Ukip. He was stripped of the party whip after offensive remarks about women and an altercation with a journalist.
