Thousands of drivers in Leeds have faced huge delays this morning, because of road closures in the city centre.
The Council chose to close the road past the Bridgewater Place tower - the tallest building in Yorkshire - after predictions wind speeds in the area could reach 75mph.
Surrounding roads are still congested as drivers try to find alternative routes.
