CCTV released over theft of credit cards in Leeds bars

British Transport Police have releasing new images in the hunt for two men they would like to speak to in connection with the thefts of eight bank cards stolen from victims in bars in Leeds.


The cards were used to withdraw large amounts of money from the victims' bank accounts.

Investigators previously released images of two men they wanted to speak to in connection with the thefts which took place on the 1stand 2nd of February 2014 at the Stone Roses Bar and Back Room Bar in Leeds.


Now after reviewing CCTV they have managed to find clearer images of the men and are releasing them in the hope someone may recgnise them.

Detective Constable Jason Ridgeway, leading the investigation, said:

“Eight people have reported attending these bars and then later discovering that their credit or debit card is missing. Following the thefts large amounts of cash were withdrawn from the victim’s bank accounts.

"The cards have also been used in supermarkets where low value purchases have been made and then cash back was obtained.”
