Home Affairs Committee meeting over child sexual exploitation

The Home Affairs Committee has called for "greater transparency" after finding "compelling evidence" numerous complaints of abuse of children in Rotherham were ignored. The Committee is meeting today to discuss the child abuse scandal in Rotherham. Lord Mayor of London Fiona Woolf, who is chair of an independent inquiry into historical child sexual abuse will give evidence. They will be looking to find out who knew about the abuse after 1400 cases were identified in a report.
