Silent vigil held for those killed over last week in Syria

A silent vigil has been held in Leeds to remember the hundreds of civilians and medical professionals killed in the last eight days in airstrikes in one of Syria's largest cities.

Members of the Syrian Association of Yorkshire and passers-by gathered outside Trinity shopping centre to stand in solidarity with the people of Aleppo.

The aim of the vigil, which was held on Saturday, was to help raise awareness of the plight of the Syrian people.
