Steelworkers march in their thousands to save jobs

Steelworkers from across our region have joined thousands from across Europe to march on the streets of Brussels in the hope of saving their jobs.

Workers from Rotherham, Stocksbridge and Scunthorpe marched alongside those from Germany, Italy, France and other countries. They were calling on the EU to do more to stop China dumping cheap steel on the European market.

It's as workers from South Yorkshire face ongoing uncertainty over the sale of their plants - and bosses in Scunthorpe accuse the UK government of not doing enough to help the industry. Michael Billington reports.
