There are concerns wet weather over the weekend could cause a sinkhole in North Yorkshire to continue to expand.
The hole opened in a back garden on Magdalen's Road in Ripon, late on Wednesday night. Twelve homes along the road have been evacuated and the area remains cordoned off.
Geological experts say the sinkhole is still a risk to the public and are asking residents to avoid the area.
A sixty foot sinkole which opened up in Ripon last month is being filled with concrete.
The Ripon sinkhole is now 60 feet across and 30 feet deep. Experts from the British Geological Society are at the scene.
