Denny Solomona signs three-year deal with Sale

Record breaker: Denny Solomona Credit: PA

Denny Solomona has walked out on Rugby League side Castleford Tigers to sign a three year deal with Rugby Union club Sale.

The 23-year-old, who broke the record for the most tries scored in a Super League season this year, failed to report back for pre-season training with the Tigers despite having two years left on his contract.

The move is set to trigger legal action, with Castleford threatening to take the matter to the High Court, with the backing of the Rugby Football League.
