Relics from by-gone rail era go on display at shopping centre

Rail enthusiasts can get a glimpse of a bygone era at a display of rare railway relics which have gone on display at the Frenchgate shopping centre in Doncaster.

Until recently they had been hidden away in a water tower at Doncaster Grammar School, left there by a long-disbanded railway society.

Steam fan Jon Mitchell went along for a look - and a chat with the music producer and fellow trainspotter Pete Waterman.
