Police will continue to search scenes in Burngreave and Chesterfield for a second day on Wednesday, after four men from South Yorkshire and Derbyshire were arrested on suspicion of terrorism offences.
The North East Counter Terrorism Unit say searches have been "stood down for the evening".
"Searches at the scenes in Burngreave and Chesterfield will resume in the morning. The remaining scenes have now closed."
The four men remain in custody at this time.
The Army Bomb Disposal Unit has carried out a controlled explosion of material found at a chip shop in Chesterfield.
