Andrew Lansley escaped the heat of Westminster today to announce some good news in Birmingham.
He announced a research grant of 12. 8 million pounds for the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Childrens' and University hospital.
But not everyone welcomed his visit. Especially Birmingham MP Jack Dromey.
A day away from Westminster may prove a welcome break from the widespread anger that surrounds the health reforms but Andrew Lansley remains confident that despite opposition, his health bill will be an Act of Parliament just in time for the Queen's Jubilee.
