Up to 800 people are expected to attend a public meeting tonight over proposed plans to build three travellers site in Leicestershire.
The City Council wants to build three sites, two in Abbey and one in Beaumont Leys.
An earlier meeting to discuss the matter was cancelled because of health and safety fears- 400 people turned up and tried to squeeze into a room designed for 80.
Local residents say they’re concerned about the impact the sites will have on housing prices, the added traffic it will create and availability in schools.
Tomorrow’s meeting is part of Leicester City Council's planning consultation process, which runs until April 13.
Travellers have also expressed an interest in taking part.
