Nottinghamshire county council is expanding its' apprenticeship scheme to create around another 25 places next year. It’s hoped it will help more young people get their first opportunity on the employment ladder.
The authority launched the scheme in September last year and originally offered 25 places in a variety of services including catering and human resources.
18 placements offering 40 weeks of paid work experience have been organised so far. It will help participants gain an NVQ level 2 qualification.
