Arrests After Assault Death

A man who died after being assaulted outside a pub in Derby has been named as Ashley Finlay.

The 24-year-old man was assaulted near The Bell pub on Sadler Gate in the city centre yesterday. Mr Finlay from Spondon died of his injuries in hospital.

Two men, aged 29 and 45 who were arrested yesterday remain in police custody.

Police say the area where the incident happened was busy at the time and have appealed for witnesses.
