Charity zip wire event at Pride Park for Rams fans

A sponsored zip wire will take place today at Pride Park.

Derby County fans will be taking part alongside former Rams player Seth Johnson to raise money for three local charities.

The event will allow fans to sail down the wire at a keith of more than 200 metres as speeds of more than 40mph.

The three charities involved in charity Zip Wire the are Sight Support Derbyshire, Treetops Hospice and Rainbows Children's Hospice.

"I'm thrilled to be taking part in such a unique event at Pride Park Stadium. I've never taken part in a zip wire before so I can't wait to do it and raise as much money as possible for three very deserving charities."

Anyone who wants to take part will be asked to raise a minimum of £100.
