What a difference a week makes, the blue sky and sunshine seems like a distant memory. Today a band of rain is travelling north to south, the heaviest of that rain will be across Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire with a brisk wind too.
As a result of the cloud and rain temperatures are suffering with highs of just 16 Celsius. Tonight the rain will clear and it will be mostly dry, temperatures will only dip a few degrees so it will be quite a mild night.
We start with cloudy skies tomorrow and some patchy outbreaks of rain. It will be an improving picture in the afternoon with some breaks in the cloud and as a result it will feel a touch milder than today.
There is still some uncertainty surrounding the weekend but so far it's looking dry with sunny spells on Saturday, Sunday and Monday look cloudy with the chance of rain. We will keep you updated on any developments.
