Ocean liner sails into Birmingham in run up to Olympics

An ocean liner was unveiled in the centre of Birmingham today as part of celebrations in the run up to the London Olympics.

This is The Voyage, a live extravaganza featuring dancers, aerial performers, a choir, an orchestra, in total 140 artistes telling the fictional tale of the ship's journey as she battles to survive a storm.

The show is produced by Birmingham Hippodrome as part of the celebrations for London 2012.

The 'maiden voyage' of the show was due to begin at 10.00pm tonight, however it has been called off due to bad weather.

However it 'sails' again tomorrow, Saturday and Sunday and the show is free for all to attend.
