Police have been granted a further 12 hours to question two men in connection with the disappearance of a teenager in Coventry more than 20 years ago.

Officers investigating the disappearance of Nicola Payne arrested the men on suspicion of conspiracy to prevent the lawful and decent burial of a body.

The two men have been named locally as 74-year-old Patrick Judge and his son Keith, 45.

Police are continuing their searches of parkland off Purcell Road and an address in Miles Meadow.

Officers have also received a significant number of calls and information from the public following a number of appeals.

"Officers are working their way through the information and calls that have come in to police following our appeals.

"Nicola's family are being kept informed about all developments and have issued their own appeal for anyone with information to come forward."
